Team Building ActivitiesTo assist your group with matters of the mind and body avail yourselves with the services of John Zampatti our Health and Wellness Manager. John has worked in tourism and hospitality for the past 15 years. With a Bachelor of Applied Science – Human Movement and a Diploma of Health – Remedial Massage Therapy, John is the ideal co-ordinator for any recreational activities or corporate team building. John consults directly with your company to provide an experience that has been designed specifically to your group’s needs.

Hotel Sorrento provides the ideal base from which to enjoy the many attractions of the Mornington Peninsula. We are situated within easy walking distance of the historic Sorrento shopping precinct, the bay and ocean beaches. We are able to arrange winery tours, golf packages, fishing charters, dolphin swims and a host of team building activities.
TEAM CHALLANGES:
“Mini Olympics”
A fun activity that is designed to break the ice. Generally held in close proximity to the Hotel this activity takes around one hour and is heaps of fun and a good laugh. The games are designed to involve everybody in a light hearted session which really shoots up well on the camera.
Cost: $15 - $40 pp (depending on group size) allow around 1 hr
“Point Nepean Challenge”
Delegates are given a map, a mission brief and supplies as they make their way to the tip off Point Nepean. It is a race against the clock to diffuse a bomb that has been set to blow away Point Nepean. A number of challenges are undertaken along the course and each team must bring their efforts together to “save the day”.
Cost: $45 - $70 pp (depending on group size) 2 - 4 hrs
“Initiative Games – Ropes Courses”
Delegates are given a number of challenges including the low and high ropes at the Portsea Camp which is a five minute drive from Hotel Sorrento. A most spectacular setting away from the conference room that is sure to leave the participants actively thinking for the remainder of the conference.

“Giant Swing”
Step into the harness and take in the spectacular bay views as the rest of your team haul you skyward. This is an exhilarating activity that really pumps the adrenalin.

“Sorrento Life Cover Shot Competition”
Each team is given a map of Sorrento and set off on a mission to come up with the cover shot for the 'Sorrento Life' magazine. This is a great way to explore Historic Sorrento and takes in some of the beautiful local scenery. This photo competition will gauge which team is the most creative.
Cost: $15 - $30 pp (depending on group size) 1 - 2 hrs
“Trivia Night”
The trivia challenge is usually incorporated into the evening function with rounds commencing straight after the entree and running for around 1½ hours. This is a light hearted evening of entertainment and a good way for delegates to get to know each other. Rounds include general knowledge, sports, music, guess the song, video quiz, funny photos, entertainment and maybe even some company specific questions.
Cost: $15 - $30 pp (depending on group size) 1½ hrs
Sailing
Why not organise a day trip or take a group of friends for a leisurely sail with a few drinks and nibbles on Port Phillip Bay. We are able to arrange a pick-up service from the Blairgowrie Mariner or Sorrento Pier which is only a short stroll from the Hotel. Cost: from $400 - $950 (4 – 7 guests), larger groups can be catered for - P.O.A
Golf
The Mornington Peninsula is famous for its vast array of top quality golf courses and we can organize a competition or social round at one of the many world class clubs. Along with the close association with the Sorrento and Portsea Golf Clubs, we are able to arrange rounds at a number of other local venues, including Eagle Ridge, The Dunes, Moonah Links and Cape Schanck. Cost: $50 - $110 pp
Eco Tours
The Mornington Peninsula Coastal and Marine Park is the most visited National Park in Victoria, Australia. Stunning coastal walks are available throughout the many tracks of the Point Nepean National Park. Guided tours can be organised and this is a sensational way to take in some of the region’s most pristine features.
Point Nepean Park entry fee $10 (without Guide) - $30 - $60 pp (with guide)
Fishing Charters
Our bay is famous for a number of aquatics species and the local fishing is some of the best around with, snapper, squid, flathead and whiting often on the menu after a trip aboard one of the many fishing charters. Cost: from $60 - $150 pp (depending on duration)
Horse Riding
The Gunnamatta region is famous for its beach horse rides and professional equine tuition. Experience the thrill of a leisurely horse ride to the beach and depending on your ability the buzz of a gallop along the sand. This activity is suitable for people of all riding abilities. Allow 20 minutes to drive to the equestrian centre and 2 – 4 hrs for the riding experience, depending on the tour.
Cost: from $35 (1 hr bush ride) - $150 (full day including lunch) pp
Swimming with the Dolphins
This activity is one of the most sort after on the Peninsula, from Blairgowrie through to Point Nepean renowned for its resident bottled –nose dolphins and bay seal colony. A truly inspiring journey with some of the world’s most beautiful marine life. Allow 4 hrs, departs daily at 8am and 1pm (weather dependent) from November through to May. Departs Sorrento Pier, which is a short walk from Hotel Sorrento.
Cost: from $50 observer - $110 pp swimming (wetsuits provided) allow 4 ½ hrs
Sea Kayaking
What a stunning way to view the famous bay coastline with a guided sea kayaking adventure. Often kayakers are visited by the Port Phillip Bay resident bottled-nose dolphins and penguins. This can also provide an unforgettable team session being one of the most peaceful ways to experience Port Phillip Bay. Sessions run from 2 – 4 hrs $50 - $120 pp
